New York and New Delhi, two of my favorite cities in the world. What makes them different from the rest? What makes the two alike? Certainly not the first half of their names. Or even the number of Indians found in each. It’s something else. They are something else.
About me:
I am God, the center of my universe, and I make the world happen. If it wasn’t for my consciousness, my perception, everything around me ceases to be. I donot comprehend it, so it is meaningless.
About them:
They are huge, have lives of their own and they breathe. They are ever awake, they are nonchalant, they are cruel. They make the people and not the other way around.
About us:
I love them, I envy them. Why? I don’t know. May be the way they talk to me. May be the way they mock. May be the way they dare me to hate them. May be the way they teach.
They humble me, they exhilarate me.
They seduce me, they reject me.
They make me alive, they make me mortal. They make me…God no more!
But shhh! I don’t want them to hear.
